STS Stabilizers

Question? Descriptions of STS stabizers claim to reduce the noise of your bow without the need for string silencers. I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on this? I currently have a Diamond Victory and am not real happy with the factory installed noise reduction system so i was thinking about the STS. So I guess my question is should I try the STS or install some string leeches or the like?

String Suppressor are a great addition to a bow and they work. I sell the front mount STS's $39.95 TYD and also the Rear mount MeanV which I make. Here's a picture of one in HD Green on my Guardian. You can check them out on my Website at: www.meanvarchery.com

They look great and I'd love to get one if I can be proven of its effectiveness. Is it worth the $45 dollars or will string leeches do as good of a job? I've never seen them used first hand so I'm just wondering what everyones experience with it is.

I have yet to have a guy come by and shoot a bow with it on and then with it off that didn't buy one. That said there are always the few that say they can't tell a difference. In my experience and the many I talk to Satisfaction percentages areway over 90%;)

My Victory has a sts on it with cat whishers and leeches and it's noticebly quiter than my Extreme with only leeches! I may end up putting a STS on it.I can see where the sts stopping string from bouncing would silence it sooner.

The STS type silencers do work. They will outlast regular silencers, and as an added benefit, they keep the string at brace height after the shot, eliminting the need for an arm gaurd.

Shouldn't the string be served where it touches the sts?

Most do, and I always suggest serving the string, but some do not and report no problems.

I just think it's cheap insurance to serve it!;)
