I was content and then I messed up
ok, we had a xmas ball shooting at out range, they set up a bunch of xmas trees with shiny glass balls and you get to shoot them.
Small balls are worth more than big ones ( strangely enough, yes ).
So I shoot my first arrow and hit a small one dead one, this makes me feel great !!!
The second turn I get I put my arrows from the quiver in the arrowstand in front of me and I dryfire my bow ( yes, I know !!! ) I could have punched myself in the face....
The peep gets blown out and explodes.......
I checked my bow and didn't find any real damage visible, no cracked limbs, I shot three arrows and it seemed fine.
Is there anything I can do to check this ? I am planning on going to the shop to get it checked out there.....
So any "must do's" after a dryfire are welcome ( besides hitting myself over the head with a blunt object )

take the cam(s) and/or idler off - remove the axles - and roll them on a flat surface to see if they got bent. obviously check the string and cables real good. if that stuff checks out - give it a few weeks and keep an eye on it - a crack could show up any time over the next while.

Oh no... That's the pits. Let the shop give it a good going over and then keep an eye on it, like gibblet said.
You're making me feel guilty for razzing you on your other post. [&o]

That state of contentment just never seems to last . . . . .
A guy I know did the same thing while hunting last year. Missed a big mule deer buck, then drew back a second time without nocking an arrow, and dry fired his Mathews Switchback. That was a lucky buck.
