RE: muzzy 3 vs 4 blade
this is the entrance from a 125gr 3blade muzzy...
![]() never shooting one with a bow before or seeing an arrow wound, i was impressed at the perfect hole it cut. really didnt expect that..expected 3 slices from the blades. dont know what more an extra blade could have provided...arrow blew striaght through and into the dirt...buck went 20 yards or so and collapsed. |
RE: muzzy 3 vs 4 blade
Never found a problem with the three blades. Never used the 4 blades, but you need to consider the added surface area. I could see where the extra surface area "could" (probably not much) cause more planing and less penetration than the three blades. Id also say that it would probably not be enough to notice at normal bow ranges. Ive found no problem with the three blades. My favorite heads are; Muzzy three blades, slick tricks, and Monotec G5s. All great heads. Ive never had a single problem with any of the above.

RE: muzzy 3 vs 4 blade
I have used muzzys for years 3 and 4 blade. I liked the 90 and 100 gr 4 blade the best. This year I tryed slick tricks. Flew the same as my muzzys and work the same(took 2 deer so far). I like the 1" cut on the 4 blade, I feel I get better flight from them.
