I don't know about all bows; but I have three 50/60's. With the limbs maxed out, they vary from 60.7 to 62.1 lbs.

RE: Will a 60lb do the Job??
I don't think that your bows should go higher than 60 if you bow is only rated 50-60# or maybe i'm wrong but i thing it isn't timed properly.

Mat it’s typical of most bows to max out 1 to 5 lbs over stated max weight.

Yes, It will "do the job"...;)

RE: Will a 60lb do the Job??
Shoot what you are comfortable with. New bows these days have so much let off you may want to go higher than 60. It doesn't hurt to have more KE and penetration, just don't go too high where you feel strained.

RE: Will a 60lb do the Job??
I am thinking of going with a 60 lb. bow this year. I think I will be able to get the best performance since I will shoot it maxed out.

I shoot 65#, but it is certainly more than enough.
