i shoot 63 lbs. and have had nothing but pass throughs even on 600 lbs. neilgi..... besides im not an expert but you will get a tad more than 60 out of a 60 lb. bow i think... but someone here might know more about that....

i went down to 52# this year and had pass theu shots on all 4 deer that i got

I would say that 60# is enough poundage. That's all i buy.

I don't know about all bows; but I have three 50/60's. With the limbs maxed out, they vary from 60.7 to 62.1 lbs.

I don't think that your bows should go higher than 60 if you bow is only rated 50-60# or maybe i'm wrong but i thing it isn't timed properly.

Mat it’s typical of most bows to max out 1 to 5 lbs over stated max weight.

Shoot what you are comfortable with. New bows these days have so much let off you may want to go higher than 60. It doesn't hurt to have more KE and penetration, just don't go too high where you feel strained.

I am thinking of going with a 60 lb. bow this year. I think I will be able to get the best performance since I will shoot it maxed out.

I shoot 65#, but it is certainly more than enough.
