Chronied my High Country bows.

Just picked up my new Iron Mace and it shot @ 60 lbs. pull 29" draw, 350 fps. My Sidewinder @ 60 lbs. pull 29" draw, 310 fps. I used my 5.5 speed pro lite HC hunting arrows. My Sidewinder feels slow now, but is easier to draw.

Isn't that kind of light for hunting?

Not really, if the arrow only weighs 268 grains. There's no magic there, many bows can shoot the same arrow at that speed, they just don't warranty them to do so; for good reason IMO.

I have been shooting High country bows for 16 years. Never had one blow with their light arrows. I have had other bows also. None of them shot the speed pro arrow as fast as HC.Why would a company give a lifetime warranty with these light arrows? I guess that tells you how their bowsare built. The other companies bows would blow up. Here is a picture of one of my walls. All HC kills. All of my kills are complete pass threws. I have never had an arrow stick out of the animal. I have six more walls of HC kills in my house.

I guarantee that a Darton Pro3000, Mathews Black Max, Bowtech Allegiance, Martin Slayer, PSEX-Force, APA Black Mamba X1 and X2, Elite Envy, Parker Frontier 2,(just to name a few) could spit those arrows out at the same speed - and some of these maybe faster.

I'm sure your"walls" are impressive, but arguably I could fill mine with deer I shot with a .17 rifle, if it were legal. That still doesn't make it right - for me at least.

Just because one company will warranty a bow for mistreatment and another won't doesn't mean one bow can handle it over another IMO. How many of those other bows that you shot with HCA arrows truthfully "blew up"? Maybe some, but I've heard of HCA bows coming apart like any other. Was it because of the light arrows? Maybe; maybe not. The real difference is they are willing to warranty the bow for it to sell their bows and their arrows.

I just don't trust a company that can't even be consistent with its claims about a bow from one page to the next on their own website...

Bottom line is if it is legal, works for you, and your happy, that's all that counts; right? I hear of many others who have success with this type of setup; and choice is what makes archery and bowhunting so interesting. I hope you have a successfull, safeseason (and I'm not being sarcastic) with whatever equipement you choose to use!!
