I really don't beleive that you passed completely through the big guy in the middle of the pic,not even shooting 100# draw!

I guarantee that a Darton Pro3000, Mathews Black Max, Bowtech Allegiance, Martin Slayer, PSEX-Force, APA Black Mamba X1 and X2, Elite Envy, Parker Frontier 2,(just to name a few) could spit those arrows out at the same speed - and some of these maybe faster.

I'm sure your"walls" are impressive, but arguably I could fill mine with deer I shot with a .17 rifle, if it were legal. That still doesn't make it right - for me at least.

Just because one company will warranty a bow for mistreatment and another won't doesn't mean one bow can handle it over another IMO. How many of those other bows that you shot with HCA arrows truthfully "blew up"? Maybe some, but I've heard of HCA bows coming apart like any other. Was it because of the light arrows? Maybe; maybe not. The real difference is they are willing to warranty the bow for it to sell their bows and their arrows.

I just don't trust a company that can't even be consistent with its claims about a bow from one page to the next on their own website...

Bottom line is if it is legal, works for you, and your happy, that's all that counts; right? I hear of many others who have success with this type of setup; and choice is what makes archery and bowhunting so interesting. I hope you have a successfull, safeseason (and I'm not being sarcastic) with whatever equipement you choose to use!!
I have been hunting with them for 16 years. No problems yet. I would not give a lifetime warranty if shooting these arrows was costing my company money for warranty repair. It just wouldn't be cost effective for the neccessary profit to stay in business. FletcherLand is no fool.

You obviously have never hunted with an HC bow.No reason I would make it up. The arrow went through that Elk so fast and stuck in the bank behind him. In fact 2 months latter, I used the same arrow, with a new broadhead, to take the deer(147"),far left in the picture 10 point, 42 yards another complete pass through.

I have seen many an arrow from all bow makers , pass thru bulls as big or bigger..........it's all about placement and not hitting a shoulder on the way thru...........as for this little high country debate: Speed is impressive, but accuracy kills.;)

100% correct! I had a complete pass thru on a 5X5 bull with my Hoyt that only shot 285 fps. If it is an accurate shot, it's a dead animal!

You might want to check your sources. I believe the CEO and founder of HCA was Spencer Land. He was in charge when HCA was having their customer service problems and started undercutting their dealers by selling direct from manufacture. I believe,if I'm not mistaken, the companywas sold to Richard Batdorf, former owner of Newberry Bows (Archery Pro L.L.C), last year. So, maybe it wasn't cost effective.?.? I think the new ownership has been seen as an improvement by most HCA loyalists.

Spencer is his first name you are correct. I don't know where I got Fletcher. I remember his son's name is Nathan.I have met them several times.Spencer bought a carbon plant overseas because he couldn't get a good supply of the material for his arrows. The government was buying it all.

My buddy who is a HC dealer said that he hasn't heard that HC was sold. He told me that the Newberry bow guy used to work at HC and went off on his own to build bows. He opened his company across the street from HC.

Now what will it do with a real hunting arrow of 500gr's;)
Well.. not quite 500grs... but my Iron Mace is set up at 62#s @29.5". I shoot Axis FMJs, with a 100gr Montec, and my speed is right at 282fps. Plenty fast enough for me... I find it easier to shoot a broadhead at a little slower speed (not that 282 with a 454gr arrow is slow, espeically only pulling 62#s). Conversely, I shoot 3D with the bow set at 64#s, and arrows that weigh in at 321grs (right at the IBO legal 5:1), and it shoots 330fps. Again, enough speed to allow for a little error in range guesstimation. I think I'm going to shoot a heavier arrow next summer though.. what is the point of shooting in bowhunter class with the arrows you aren't going to hunt with? I just need to find something less expensive and more durable than FMJs to shoot 3D with or I'll go broke!
