I'll use the extra speed and turn it into energy with heavy arrows for hunting.

I'll second what WWAG says. I don't know too many if any people that want a hunting rig that will shoot 350 fps. But, if you take a bow that is capable of shooting those speeds and put a nice heavy hunting shaft on it...THWAAAK!!!! Viola, Instant kinetic energy at lower poundages.

As will I.

Personally I think we will see a new cam. Perhaps a Legacy "XL".And the addition of the string suppressors (and maybe the roller guard) to other models. I also suspect the MQ1, Rival Pro, Black Max, and MQ32 will be discontinued.

At any rate I'm sure they will have something interesting. Do not underestimate Matt McPherson..he's a smart guy and a good engineer.

I am a big Mathews lover, but they really haven't done much that was all that new in 5 years. The gizmos are all copied, and they haven't fundamentaly improved their cams on the main bows in a while. Also their quality doesn't shine. They need to bust a move. Though I appreciate the direction of quieting the string last year, without string junk, it wasn't new, and overall the bows were a disapointment.

What was the top comp bow this year, overall? Been so out of it for a while I pretty much missed the whole year.

I'd love to see a Legacy XL, about 36 inches ATA. I'd also like to see Mathews lighten up the bow about 1/2 pound.

RE: Mathews Rumors

I liked the old Ultralite speck, 3.5# and 36". I find the feather a little flimsy, even though it is only 4oz lighter. It gives a person a lot more flexability relative to the instalation of stabs and accessories, if the bow is light. Plus, it lowers the weight for certain types of hunting, mountains etc...
