Default EZE EYE results

got my easy eye and some of my bow tuning supplies today.. for giggles i slapped my EZE EYE on the bow and lased the nocking point (original point tuned by "gander mtn pro shop") but as i twst the laser down to my cams.. the laser hits the floor.. both up and down.. this tells me that my cams arnt aligned to the most center portion of my string (served/nocked)

1: how did this happen... did gander jip me on my tuning?

2: how can i fix this? im learning as i go...trying to read everything i can to tune a bow...currently collecting parts to build my press..

bow is a 2006 reflex buckskin 28" draw 65lb, slam and a 1/2 cams

There is a good chance the point at where the laser mounts to the bow isn't square with centershot, meaning the laser will not do much good for you.

The bow could be tuned quite well and not be in line with the laser.

What if the laser follows the string EXACTLY in the middle -- all the way up and all the way down, with the exception of on the cams? Don't know if that's the case here, but I would think if the laser travelled perfectly up and down over three feet of string and stayed in the middle, you'd have to assume that the riser was square, would you not?

Square is 3 dimensional, you are only looking at 1 plane.

Centershot is arrow and string path, has nothing to do with vertical path.I shouldn't say nothing but for this discussion,it doesn't have relevance.

Imagine the riser isn't square as I diagram whenI was explaning 3rd axis adjustment and the laser ran out like the picture on the right, this is common, not to this degree but I hope you understand what I am trying to point out.

Blue represents the arrow.

The small rectangle that the sight runs off of is the riser.

Guess I should have labeled it.

Wow, you've done went and thrown geometry or something stupid like math in the mix... [8D]I can see you're gonna make my head hurt (have I ever mentioned all my degrees are in English-like subjects? It's that left brain, right brain thing... )

I think I'll go to bed now and look at all this tomorrow. Seriously.

for whats its worth, its the majoirty of the string aswell. if i start at the nock, i can only make it 3 inches and im off the string, its about the same on either end..

That may just mean that the bow doesn't have perfectly vertical string travel.

Most 1 cams are this way.

Dont see how someone else can tune your bow for you , maybe get it close , but you have to tune your own bow , as you are the one shooting it , and you play a major function in its "tune"
