bent/warped riser?

Default bent/warped riser?

took my bow to the shop today to have some new string leeches put in and SUPRISE!! tech said my riser was bent a little bit and my srting was broke. the string is no big deal, i'm having it reolaced, but how the h*ll does a riser get bent or warped?? someone please enlighten me. ( high country power force x1 )

Cant say I have realy heard of that happening with any of the new machined risers. Not sure what your riser is made out of but the new machined alluminum ones shouldnt bend or warp unless you run them over with a truck. A wood riser or even a carbon one I could see doing it.

Bent risers can and do happen. In many cases the issue is related to the bow not being pressed correctly in other instances (far fewer) particular models had structural weaknesses and were prone to bending on their own.

Without knowing the history of your bow, it is hard to judge what the cause was, however short of backing over it with your truck or dropping it out of your treestand, a pretty good bet is that it was pressed incorrectly.
