Default Build me some arrows for 3d

Ok guys I need some help on which arrows to get for 3d.
I'll be shooting a DC Patriot at 60lbs and 28" drawlength.
I would like the arrows to be as close to IBO(300gr) as possible.
Thanks!! in advance to all who reply with suggestions.

PSE 200 Extremes w/ 65 gr points would be around 310 gr. Spine may be weak. By the chart they're OK, but in reality may be weak. 300s would weigh around 20-30 gr more. These are both w/ 4" vanes. Doesn't IBO have a speed limit of 280? That may be an issue, if you attend IBO sanctioned shoots. My P38 DC shoots a 365 gr arrow close to 290.

pdq 5oh I believe they changed last year to 280fps or 5gr/lb. I'll have to doublecheck.

Just checked the IBO site, and it is 280fps or 5gr/lb. Thanks pdq 5oh for your response.

Bayou-

You can download my free demo and build your very own arrow! The program lists almost all arrows available on the market today. Just make sure to observe the extreme performance factor that those Bowtech bows carry!

I just ran your specs and show the CXL250 with 90 grains @ 28&quot; no insert wil weigh around 305 grains with 2.3&quot; vanes and shoot around 290 f/s with your bow! They spine out perfect for your bow!

Tony.
You will have to do some work to the program.
I tested the CX 300 with 5&quot; vains 345 grain arrow and through the crono it done 288fps.
That was with the Patriot Dually 60# 28&quot; draw.

Aussie guy...

How did you measure your draw length? Did you measure it?
Did you use the database BPF or the spec sheet from the bow?

The program only is as accurate as the data put in.

Here is an example....

I put in your Patriot right from the database, with a BPF of 1.25 and entered 29.75 (AMO) draw because about 75% of the people who unknowingly slam the program didn't read the manual ahead of time and make the right measurements. You know what the program says for speed now? 290 f/s! close enough for yah?

I get about a dozen emails a week where users arent getting accurate results because they either take the limb's specs as gospel, or just plain and simple make the wrong measurements.

If the program's database figure is off, you also always have the option of entering your own specs to calibrate the program to your bow, this way it is guaranteed to give accurate results.

So far I have actually had superb feedback from BowTech shooters who swear by the programs accuracy. Double check your input data and re-run the specs....I think you will agree.

Tony.
I have not used the program.

When I picked up my Dually I measured the draw lenght and it was spot on 28&quot;
I also took other measurements such as tiller, brace height,ATA then put the bow on the weight scale to make sure the bow was to specs.

We then weighed each of our test arrows the GT 5575 XT's camo 4&quot; vains 100gr tips total weight of 385 grs
The CX 300's had 5&quot; vains and 85gr tips for a total arrow of 345grs.

Both arrows where cut to 26.5&quot;

We then done a series of shots with each arrow through the crono.
and the speeds where for the GT 275 fps average over 5 shots and for the CX was 288 fps average over 5 shots.

Unfortunately they did not have of the CXL250's in stock so I could not do crono tests on those.

Dont get me wrong I am not knocking your program I just think for the new dually you might have to do some tweaking thats all.

Aussie Guy-

Post the specs from the spec sheet that shipped with your bow and I will run those into the program for you and see what it spits out.

I need the Test Draw length, Brace Height, Poundage, Arrow Weight that used for the factory test.

Thanks

ACC HyperSpeed 2-49's with 70 grain or so nibbs depending on exact arrow length...1.5&quot; or so vanes or some 2 or 3&quot; feathers, and you should be pretty close.

Not the most durable arrow (Hyperspeeds), but well..it's an ACC..Nuff Said.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
