Firstly I would like to thank you guys for waiting so IMPATIENTLY for this report.
For those that emailed me with bribes please email for the address for you to send the blank check.
For those who made threats to my life I don’t live in Texas at all.

I would also like to thank Richard and Linda at Lake Country Archery 903-383-2347 for the wonderful service I again received. Great people to do business with and wont let anyone out of the shop till they are 100% happy with their purchase.

Everything in this report are my opinions.

Well now to my report.

The Bowtech Dual cam Patriot.

I did not think that BT could improve on the already great Patriot but they have.

A big thumbs up for Kevin and the rest of the guys in R & D.

The bow is as follows 60# 28” draw with the BT hush kit as standard.
Muzzy Zero Effect rest
String loop
Extreme 100 4-pin sight with 2x lens (this is my 3d sight)
X-Ring 5” Stabilizer in the front .
Arrows are Gold Tip 5575 XT’s @ 26.5” with 100 gr tips for a total arrow weight of 385 gr’s

The first thing you notice when you pick the bow is the weight or should I say the lack there of compared to the 02 Pat this bow is light.

The second thing you notice is the grip a lot thinner from last years model.

The fit and finish is as usual to BT’s high Standards.

The new designed cams are smooth as silk to draw with the draw stops built into the cams with a solid back wall.

The limbs are made by Gordon and are an inch longer than the limbs on the single cam Pat.

Shooting the bow there is no hand shock or vibration at all.
The bow is whisper quit and extremely fast the figures will follow later in the report.

The BT string things do the job very well but I do feel that the bow might be better with limb savers although the BT version work quite well.

The let off is 70% and suits the bow very well.

The nock travel is straight unlike the single cam.

This bow did come with a WC srting so I cannot comment on the 02 strings.

Now to the fun part.

With 10 lbs less draw weight and with an arrow that is 10gr heavier this thing smokes them out at 275 fps.

I did also crono it with Carbon Express 300’s with a arrow weight of 345 gr’s for a speed of 288 fps.

This bow will stack them in there my groups are tighter than with the single and has already cost me a few arrows.

Gone are the spazmotic lefts and rights I used to get when I do my part the arrows hit where the pin is.

I find the new thinner grip is a tad too thin for my liking but I will get used to it ( I did like the grip on the 02 version)

But BT listen to the users and thinned out the grip so a lot of you guys are going to love it. I might end up putting some tennis grip tape on and see if that helps me.

There is usually a trade off when they lighten bows with more vibration on hand shock but some how BT have overcome that as this is one SWEET shooting bow that spits the arrows out at unheard of speeds for us draw length challenged guys.

All in all I will rate the bow a 9.5 would have been a perfect 10 but I took off .5 for the grip.

So there guys you have it now get out there and get one.

Just a short note for Kevin and the R&D crew do not bring out a better version next year otherwise you will be called as witnesses in a divorce case.

They are one SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET bow alright.

The one thing I did not mention was the cable tuners they had some trouble with them being noisy so they shipped them out without the tuners and will ship the new tuners when they have the noisey bug taken out of them.

Nice report Ausie-Guy! I'm really glad to see the pics of the grip and that it looks almost identical in size to my custom on my '02 Pat. This might be one bow I might not have to change a thing on and that would be great! I'm not upset about the lack of the cable tuners if they made noise and glad that BowTech held off on shipping them until they got it right. I'd take mine without them anyway. Please report further findings as you get to know your friend better! Thanks again?

WWAG.
From what Richard was saying the cable tuners will make the small adjustments that you cant do by twisting the cable.

You had better go and start stocking up on arrows cause you are going to need them specially when you group tune my groups at 20 and 30 are that tight it is not funny I can touch my thumb and fore finger around the 5 arrows.
I can see a lot of refletching happening in the coming weeks<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thanks for the report Ausie! I have two questions for you. What is the balance of the bow like (without any stabilizers)? Also, have you maxed out the limbs to see what peak draw weight you can get i.e. can you get more than 60 lbs. out of it?

Thanks Russell. I like the grip. Looks just like a wood Shrewd. Their aluminum grips are great. This looks to be a wood equivalent.

Ausie, thanks for the report. As with everyone else, I have a question. Is the grip as small as the one on the Hoyt Cybertec?? I am not happy with the grip.

Also being &quot;draw length challenged&quot;, this sounds good as long as the bow is forgiving enough for a somewhat newbie.

Again thanks.

Ausie,

Nice report. ...and here I thought you were just yankin' our chains about already having an '03 Pat Dually. How is it that you come to have yours so much ahead of everyone else? <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> You got a thing with the boss's daughter? Lucky devil. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

That format kind of looks familiar...<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>...but I like what I see so far. Do you have any pics of the entire bow? I have to give Bowtech credit...they sure look like they put together a winner with this one.
