RE: MAKING THE SWITCH?????????

ORIGINAL: bowdoc1

Carbon don,t bend, they are smaller around helping it to penetrate better aluminum are bending like a snake coming out off the bow. carbon don't as much it take aluminum about 10 yard before it straightens out. carbons are almost striaght out of the bow. Also aluminum bends when it hit some thing carbons don't lose as much energy as aluminum from shot to the hit. so what happens more penetration and a smaller arrow to go through the hole. If you took two fishing pole at the same weight, but one light action and ones a heavy action and ran them into a wall with is going to knock a hole in the wall and with one going to bend?
I see you have been reading the carbon express marketing hype. Only one point that you said that is actually valid. And that a smaller diameter penetrates better. Rest depends on spine, especially archers paradox.

I don't know if your aware, but there are aluminums that are stiffer than .340" spined carbons. In fact, its rare to find a arrow stiffer than a 2419 aluminum.

RE: MAKING THE SWITCH?????????

aluminum 2419=0.268 = 438 gr.
Carbon 300=0.300 =321 gr.

aluminum 2219=0.337=417gr
carbon 340=0.340 =285

aluminun alsotats the carbon dosn't not because of spine but because of the material.
I have never shot carbon express and I don't know not what there marketing hype is all about and really don't care

You see those high wieght numbers, thats what you want. Thats performance. The word is oscillates. Not alsotates:D. Thanks, for helping me prove my point
