I have a Quick tune drop away 2000 on my bow and started to have clearance problems. Well the bow shop says the spring in side it has gone bad and that I need to replace the rest. Thing is I need to do it quick and I wasent wanting to drop much money on it. He recommended a ripcord rest or the trophy ridge drop zone rest. My question is this. I wouldnt mind going with a whisker biscuit but how much is it going to kill me on speed?

Less FPS than you'll notice without a chronograph, maybe 5-8 fps. I was having tuning issues with the drop-away on my BowTech and went to the WB. I've been mostly happy with it so far but it is a bit tough on fletchings, especially if they're already helical fletched.

I'd steer clear of a Ripcord. The TR is pricey, but decent.
I'd go with a QAD Hunter if you are on a tight budget... they run around $50. Even the Whammy at $75 is about the same as the ripcord, but a much MUCH better product.
Nothing wrong with the WB.. been lots of deer shot with them.. Not a precision rest, but it will do the job, and it doesn't have any springs to go bad.....

Go with the QAD ultra rest. It's full capture like ripcord but better because you can manually cock it up in fire position and it'll stay there EVEN on letdown-it'll only drop upon firing. The good thing is the plain black version without microtune is only $45.00-$50.00. To me,microtune is really not necessary about like adjustable sight on handgun cause once you have it adjusted, you lock it right there never to move it again unless something goes wrong. I have this redt on my own mathews switchback xt so you know I trust it.
