If you guys are hunting, when you go for a shot, is your bow loaded or do you nock an arrow after you spot your target.
The reason why I'm asking is because I think nocking my arrows is a noisy thing.
Any solution or do you just put an arrow on the string and wait ?

Well when Im still hunting I leave it in my quiver untill I spot my qaurry. But when Hunting froma treestand I nock it when I get in the tree and hang it up on a hook. Then when i spot a deer I just stand up grab my bow an Im ready to go.

I'm nocked as soon as I get my bow up in the tree. It goes on a hook while I get stuff ready, but then I usually hold it for the majority of the time, or lay it on the front bar on my climber.

Press your thumb on the ears of the nock while you "click" it on to the string and it'll dampen the noise. I'm still hunting most of the time so I nock when the shot is eminent, if on stand I'm always nocked to save motion more than for the noise factor.
