what do I need ?
so, I decided to do my own arrowbuilding.
What do I need to start, besides arrows, glue and vanes ofcourse. thx Frank Belgium. |
RE: what do I need ?
Bare minimum requirements are a high speed arrow saw and a fletching jig. For jigs, I like Bitzenberger and JoJan, in that order.
To kick it up a notch, you need an accurate grain scale, arrow spinner and spine tester. |

Arrow Saw (Dremmel works great)
Jig (Bitzenburger is the best) ASD (Arrow Squaring Device made by G5) Glue (Goat Tuff) Vanes (Blazers) Inserts, Nocks and Tips (obviously) Q-tips Diluted Rubbing Alcohol Water Paper Towels 300 Grit Sand Paper Test Tube Brush (for cleaning out the inside of the arrow shaft) Sharp Knife Flething Removal Tool A few beers, some time and patience. |
RE: what do I need ?
Ok, got your list Josh, but how do the beers fit in the picture ??? or are you one of those guys who needs a few beers just to stop trembling.....
:D:D:D only kidding, thx anyways |
RE: what do I need ?
I'd add some ultra-fine steel wool to your list. It's great for polishing the shafts after you strip the old vanes and glue off when re-fletching.
