RE: arror grouping

My quess is you have some tuning issues(paper tuning by itself is useless).

I would also quess you have some form issues.

The reason I say this is because even an untuned bow can be shot well by someone that knows how to shoot right and consistant.

The more a bow is out of tune, the more unforgiving it becomes,so someone that has poor form has more trouble with an out of tune bow than one that has good form.

Fixed blade broadheads make an an out of tune bow almost impossible to shoot, even for a good archer.

Here is a thread on tuning I made some time back, this should help with the tuning aspect.

If you could post a picture or video of your form, from different angles, you could get help with that also.

"Is this normal?".... from the average archer that I've observed I'd have to say yes. Honestly, in my opinion, the average archer has NO buisness shooting at a deer past 30 yards. I believe that many feel like 30, 40 and even 50 yarders should be easier based on the BS they read here on the forums and in magazines. ;)
What is your definition of "the average archer" & why would someone not be able to shoot a deer @ 35-40yds. I practice several times a week for 1-2hrs per session. I shoot @50-60yds @ a 3-D target & am able to put those arrows in the kill zone. The're not a tight pattern, but are in what would be considered a lung shot. I completely agree w/DJC2, practicing @ that range makes shooting @ closer ranges seem easier, because you concentrate on form @ the longer distances. This in turn helps keep your bow real steady @ the closer shots.
