Default Is this gonna be an alright set up?

I went to a local store today and talked to the archery guy for a little while. I ended up splitting a dozen Gold Tip XT Hunters with a buddy. I am shooting a 5575, 28.5" shaft with 2" Blazers with a Blazer Wrap...not a full arrow wrap. just the end of the arrow. and will be using 100 grain tips.

I shoot a 70 pound matthews switchback with a 29" draw length. Does that sound alright or am I cuttin it close?

The Gold tip charts show you should be in a 7595.

You're not cutting it close. They are clearly too weak.

I am shooting a 70lb SBXT with 5575 GT's, 28.25" arrow on a 29" DL, 100gr. Tip and I am way too weak spined.

I just upgraded my limbs to the 70lbers (used to be 60lbers hence the 5575's)and will be switching to 7595's this weekend. I suggest you do the same.

Pardon my ignorance but what are the issues with weakspined arrows?
Bad arrow flight?

Could the arrow explode?

I guess i'm thinking that it will be faster because of the lighter arrow but I also want to make sure I am safe.

I shoot a 60# Mathews Outback with 5575 GT at 28.5" (i think that's the length.)

Thanks.

Well that kind of pisses me off. I wonder where he got confused then? He had the gold tip book out and everything.

now I am confused?? http://www.huntersfriend.com/arrowhe...pine-chart.htm
The chart shows with a 100 grain tip, and both a 28-29" arrow that I am in the 5575?

Good Rule of Thumb: Don't use somebody elses chart.

I have you squarely in 7595 territory.

28.5" arrow length, 70lb draw weight = Group 5

CAA 350
Pro Hunter 7595
XT Hunter 7595
Exp Hunter 7595

Correct spine = 0.340"
