RE: mathews 2003??
Yes but we wont know what with till after the AMO show. They keep there stuff hush hush. My guess with what theyll have, i think they have all of last years stuff (string suppresors, roller guard, harmonic damping, etc, etc) but on bows like the SQ2 and Q2XL. They got the Legacy, which killed the Q2. Now, theyll put the new stuff on some other bows for competition and hunting and stuff. I know they had the Icon, but if you draw it back, the wall is real spongy. Mostly for people with back problems. A great bow by all means, just not for everyone. Another thing, when they came out with the Q2, the next year they had the small and large Q series bows. Im not sure when but Mathews contract with Realtree X-tra Gray is up soon. Wonder what camo theyll have next? That will be kinda cool to see. I dont think thats for another year or two though.

Hawgz, you may be right. Im just goin by trends. Mathews goes in two year increments. The Q2, next year was the Q2XL and SQ2. Then the Legacy, next year will probably be kinda the same with the Q series. I may be completely wrong though. Hopefully not, cause that means ill have to buy another bow to play with. That may not sit well with the parents.

My "predictions" for Mathews 2003--
They will "can" the original conventional solo design and release their own version of a "Hybrid" in an attempt to directly compete with Hoyt and Darton and everyone else who will come out with one within the next year or two.
They will upgrade the roller guide to one that moves in tandem with the limbs and not create undue prestress.
They will further promote their "New" products through even more aggressive advertising on more Hunting programs and bowhunting magazines. (if that's possible!)
They will try to entice more Pros to shoot their products by widening their Staff Shooter Program and paying more salary and contingency monies across the board in their attempt to remain #1.
Failure to do any of these things will result in an extremely fast tumble from the top of the heap, to be replaced by a company that offers both "pure" twin cam bows and hybrids, which will soon become the predominant systems of choice.
That's how the crystal ball reads, anyway. Pinwheel 12

Wow, Pinwheel. I don't think I've ever seen someone as biased against Mathews as you are that didn't outright admit to it. Most folks that that talk trash about Mathews as much as you will go ahead and outright say they hate Mathews. I work in the computer industry and it reminds me a lot of folks who are always trashing Microsoft. You'd think Mathews and Microsoft are both "big evil companies" run by Satan himself. I do have a Mathews bow, but it doesn't really bother me to see people trash them any more than it bothers me to see people trash Microsoft when I'm using a computer running Microsoft software. The least you could do would be to admit you hate Mathews, though.

Jason,
I didn't think Pinwheel was bashing Mathews. Just making a few predictions is all.
Actually, I feel, Mathews would do well to listen to Pinwheel's ideas about the improved roller guide and cams.

RE: mathews 2003??
I emailed Mathews last week and asked if they were considering a hybrid cam system similar to Hoyt and Darton. They point blank told me they were not going to release anything similar to the systems used by Hoyt and Darton stating, "we have not looked at using the systems that Darton and Hoyt are using."
