I am putting on a new string by Gibblet as soon as it gets here and so I will be putting a new peep and loop on it so i have a question. Does anyone shoot with a clarifier in the peep? I've heard that it makes the pin much more crisp when focusing on the target. Right now my pin gets blurry or "halo's" and wanted to hear how you guys like the clarifiers out there and which one to get. Is this simply a lens inthe peep hole? Which peep to get also? If you have the clarifier, do you ever have trouble with misty days or rain on the clarifier? I am shooting 3d now and my pin gets blurry (new glasses so that's not it). Any help appreciated.

A clarifier is only going to do you any good if you are using magnification in the sight.
What it does is off set the magnification of the sight so you get a clear picture.
Spaciality Archery makes a verifier peep to use with no magnification in the sight this might be the best way for youto go.

russell, you think a #1 would help anyway?
I dont know if you have ever shot with no magnification in the sight but with a clarifier in the peep but I have made the mistake before using the one bow for everything and having 2 sights.
I slide out the scope and put on my hunting sight without taking out the clarifier came to full draw and the target instead of being 20 yards away looked more like 50 yards away

So no I dont think a #1 would help
but would go with the verifier peep cause that is what it is designed to do even tho I am not one for peeps with the tubing and in all honesty I dont know if they make one without the tubing but I spose one can email Speciality Archery and find out

I will have to check out our local proshops. My Gibblet(Bucknasty) strings showed up today, so I need to go to the shop anyway. I guess I will just hope they have what I need.

Shoot the bow about 50 times before you install a new peep just to settle the string in, it will save you from having to repress the bow to put in or take out 1/2 a twist to get the peep to align
Yes I even shoot Bucknasty strings in before installing the peep not that there is anything wrong with the strings John makes, matter of fact I wont use any other string or cables.

The verifier peep will fit into any of the Specialty Archery's peep sights. The thing with a verifier is that it only works for people that have trouble seeing close up but their distance eye sight is fine. It will clear up the pins for you. But if you are one of the people that see fine close up but cant see distance then the verifiers arent going to work for you.

I have the same problem, & u may have solved it for me. I got laser surg. last yr. & see great distance, but my pins are blurry. I'm definitely going to look into this. It looks like what I need. Has anyone else out there tried the Verifier?

You know, maybe blurry was a bad word. When I focus on the pins they are great, but when I focus on the target, my pin is kind of hazy or elongated. The guy at the proshop thought maybe my peep was a little too big, I will check it out today and play with different ones.
