Ok, so what's the recommendation here? I'm choosing between the 6" 8oz and the 8" 12oz model. This bow is to be used for hunting, and I won't get to test either before purchasing.

Jason,as far as absorbing shock and vibration the 6"& 8" are very close in performance.
With a bow like the Legacy,I doubt if you could tell any difference between the two, except as for the balance.
I would suggest the 6" Stealth Hunter to you as the Legacy is already a very quiet bow.
I know several people that shoot the Legacy and use the 6" Stealth and say it balances the bow very nicly.I do get a lot of E-mails from people before & after they have puchased a Stealth stabilizer and get alot of feed back on what seems to work with different bows!
Hope this helps.

I like a good stabilizer on my bow, even for hunting. on my 3-D rig I have an ultra heavy ACE Magnum model that works nice, I know it's old but heck. on my hunting bows I like a lot less weight and something that works good at taking out the vibration. 2 good models I have tried have been the sitka flex by x-ring & the tranquilizer. try a few models on your bow to see what works best for you.

Ok, Jerry. The order is sent. I'll just use it black for now. <img src=icon_smile_sleepy.gif border=0 align=middle> Keep me in mind if you offer camo models in the future. I can't wait to get it. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
