best way to remove vanes?
#4
I use a swiss army knife with a serrated edge to get most of it off. Then I soak the bottom part of the shaft in acetone for about a minute and it softens up the glue enough that I get almost all of it off with a green pad. The I use a straight edge knife and the green pad to get any last bits of glue.

Shoot them through a whisker biscuit.

I think the best tool out there is the Norway Zip Strip. Pretty much idiot proof.

I have used a dull knife many times and it does work but I made a zip strip and ther is no comparison.
I just used a small piece of steel and a dremmel.
I am removing some old fletch at the beggining of this video
with the homemade tool.
