I carefully scrape them off with a knife.

I use a dull pocket knife. I've used it so much that the blade is rolled. I'll never get an edge back on it, but I prefer something dull instead of a sharp knife.

I use a swiss army knife with a serrated edge to get most of it off. Then I soak the bottom part of the shaft in acetone for about a minute and it softens up the glue enough that I get almost all of it off with a green pad. The I use a straight edge knife and the green pad to get any last bits of glue.

Now that is one of the funnier things I've read on here!

I think the best tool out there is the Norway Zip Strip. Pretty much idiot proof.

Like everyone else, a dull knife works. And then I use Goo off. Be careful which glue you use. Goattuff seems to eat a little bit of carbon.

I have used a dull knife many times and it does work but I made a zip strip and ther is no comparison.

I just used a small piece of steel and a dremmel.

I am removing some old fletch at the beggining of this video
with the homemade tool.
