yes these were raw shafts.. Seriously some were 6 to7 grains heavier than others..Not that it will make much of a difference but I know it and for the money spent I wasn't too happy.

Bought another dozen todayand they were fine... geeeez....

I hope so cuz I just bout another dozen AC Super Slims, raw shafts. They are supposed to be weight toleranced at +-.5 grains.. I have arrows as much as 6.2 grains apart.. To say the least I am really not happy with them right now.

Are these raw shafts?
Does anyone know if the super slims are numbered like the ACC's so that you get a matched set from the same carbon? It may be possible that you got a mitched and matched set from a bin at the shop that were not matched to each other.

I tried to return an Arrow Dynamic traditional light that was sent to me by mistake with my Nitro Stingers but they said to keep the arrow and they just sent me another Nitro free of charge.

the +/- thing is a little deceiving to me also - i mean i know what it means - but i have to remind myself that +/- .003 is really an allowed variance of .006 between shafts, and +/- 2 grains is a 4 grain allowed variance between them.

Well I know they didn't come out of a "bin".. I work at the sporting goods store part time where I bought them. I special ordered these in fact from papes and they came in the factory packaging.. After I cut them at 28inches I had some at 269.9, some at 273, and some at 276.9.. Inthose ranges anyway..

I bought another pack and weighed them before I cut them, they were all close so when I cut them at 28 inches I weighed them again and they were all somewhere between 271.1 and 271.9.. Which is the way it should be..

But that first pack????? No clue, I'm going to call easton and let them know...

I'm thinking about just cutting all my shafts down another inch (I can do that with my QAD rest) and then spin again and see. The visible bends are at the end.

Or, do you think I should start with 1/2" spin and if need be go 1/4". if still not then the last 1/4"?

The problem with this method is I do not have an arrow saw. So, it would be running around unless I took my spinner with me. Also, would a place charge me for each cut or just for the final?
