increasing draw weight?
 

Anybody know how many fps I would increase if I jumped from 66 to 70#? I am shooting a black ice with a 29 inch draw. I am going to go to a tubeless peep which will help a little. Just curious.

I have no clue but if you go to a bow shot they could probly calculate it for you.

I think its something like 2-3 fps per lb.

It should get you somewhere around 10 to 15 fps.There is alot of thing you can do to increase speed. Smaller lighter peep, string loop instead of metal nock, move string silencers as close to limb tips as possible, increase poundage, try going a 1/2 longer on draw length using a trigger forward style release.

Although you can add a few fps, it also changes the dynamic spine of your arrow. There is only one draw weight that is ideal for a particular arrow, at a particular arrow length, draw weight and draw length, shot out of a particular bow.

Ideally, draw weights are tuned to the spine of the arrow, not to a need for maximum speed. For example, if your arrow spine is borderline or weak, such a change could make accurately shooting broadheads, much more difficult. If you're not shooting broadheads, then it isn't quite as critical for the average archer.

2-3 FPS PER POUND IF YOU LIKE THE RUBER TUBE PEEP KEEP IT, IT ONLY TAKES A WAY 3-4 FPS. NEVER GO WITH A LONGER DRAW! YOU WILL RUIN YOUR FORM
