RE: Lumenocks, Tracer Nocks, Archers Flame? Help?
What i do is make my own. cheap, simple, and sweet. About 1/3 the cost too. There was a web movie file but i don't remember where it was. You just take a thrill fishing light(i think its called nitelight or nitrite), the push kind, and put it in a nock with some glue. Sand the newnock down a bit so it slides in an out with moderate pressure. Cut the old nock in half and epoxy it on the end of the battery so its snug and holds the light/nock in the arrow shaft. They work good for me. Taken three does with one arrow, lights up every time and its really bright!

I have used the lumenocks. Great when they work, which is for me only about 1/2 the time

RE: Lumenocks, Tracer Nocks, Archers Flame? Help?
I had bought some tracers about a month ago and have had no problems and the work good.

I also was considering the Tracer. The problem is they dont make them for the H nock, however they do make them for the X nock which I think should fit the ST shafts.

I've used lumenoks and archers flame......I BY FAR liked the archers flame better, even though they require a little more to install.....But it's very easy.I found them to be brighter and more durable.

have you tried this with the ST shafts or H nocks?
|
RE: Lumenocks, Tracer Nocks, Archers Flame? Help?
Stay away from the Lumenocks, I've tried them for two years now and they only work half the time. The home brew version does look interesting, I might try that.

RE: Lumenocks, Tracer Nocks, Archers Flame? Help?
i have heard a few people say that about the lumenocks. That home brew looks good.I will try to make one for the H nock, might have to drill them out alittle to make it work.We will see

I used Archers Flame. They were VERY bright and worked well. I ceased using them because I discoverd that they really decreased my FOC of my arrow (weigh too much). I feel this is really critical when usingfixed-bladed broadheads.
I'll sell you mine for cheap!! Almost brand-new..:D |

I attempted to make some for the H nock.I can only find the twist type around here.I contacted Cabelas about the one they show online and they are also twist. If anyone can tell where to get the push/pull type I would be greatful.thanks

For you guys that are having trouble getting the Lumenoks to work, spend $30 and get you this neat litte tool by G5 called an ASD, arrow squaring device. You'd be amazed at just how bad most arrows are cut from the factory. If you want your arrows to be the best they can be you should have one anyway, and you should do it on bothends of the arrow.I've shot Lumenoks for the past 3 years and have had zero problems on the shafts that I have squared.

RE: Lumenocks, Tracer Nocks, Archers Flame? Help?
I found some under the Blue Fox FireFly name.I made a couple up and its amazing to see what the arrow is doing. If anyone is planning to make them for the H nock you have to drill the nockout a little to get the light up inside.I also cut a little off the nock to get the light as far in as possible.Pretty cool though.
