Default Save antlers?

I was wondering how many of you save all your antlers from bucks taken? I know some folks don'tcare much about them, but I keep ALL of mine as a reminder of that particular hunt and out of respect for the buck I killed. How about you? I meant to put this on the "bowhunting" forum.

I also keep all of them. Ive seen many people just throw them out while others make some pretty neat things out of them. Some of mine are on the wall the others gather dust in my building

I absolutely keep them all. I have 6 buckes mounted ( 1 full mount, 1 half mount and 4 chest mounts), all the rest of my bucks that I didn't mount I have horn mounts and this years buck will soon be a European mount. Every one is a great story and a great memory for me.

I keep mine. I have yet to do anything with them yet, but I have them all, well except one pair that I lost when moving this summer some how[:@].

I have a hide that I had done a few years ago as well. I used it for a backdrop on my gun rack in my trailer when I moved in. Looks pretty cool I think.

I really don't have a desire to have a mount done though, then I haven't shot anything real big yet either. If it was more affordable I might consider it. However for 3-5 hundred bucks it is just not worth it to me. I can think of much better places to put that kind of money.

Keep them all. Worst case scenario, "fresh" rattling antlers.

And who says it's now about antlers??? LOL!

Even the "meat hunters" claim it's never about antlers BUT most of them will shoot the antlered animal everytime! LOL!

My question though is WHY would anyone want a bunch of yearling bucks and tiny basket racks? Why wouldn't you raise the bar and set some goals at some point? [&:]

I've never thrown one out yet. I have them all over my basement "man-room" area in baskets, on my entertainment center, on tables, etc. They look nice and all have stories. I have a pair of nice shoulder mounts, one w/ a left turn, and one with a right turn so they compliment each other. My next will likely get a sneak mount to sit between the two, and he will be at least a 140-class animal. Anything I think is less gets a pass, as I've killed my share of 120 and under bucks, I want monsters or meat. If it ain't a monster, it's gonna be a "skinhead."
