Interesting. I have shot the 340s with my 31 inch draw (30.25 inch arrow) and 65-70 pound draw weight range off and on for several years. I do not have the chart handy but I was under the impression that I was right in the middle of the 340 suggested range. It has tuned well enough for me over the years. Now you have me wanting to go back and check.
No nodog, I shoot a 340 at 29" out of my liberty at 67lbs. And its on the edge. If his draw is 29.5, then he would want to shoot a 30" arrow. Maybe 30.5". And 340 is too weak.
If you download the Easton shaft selector, run your numbers. They even call for a .300 spine. But as long as you have broadhead tuned, bareshafted etc. then you can't argue with that. I know I was shooting 64lbs. with my liberty and 340 black max 29" arrow. It paper tuned fine. Bare shaft fine, but I insist on broadhead tuning. And I had to raise my poundage to 66-67lbs to get broadheads shooting where my field tips are. Possibly detuned some.

BC,
I do believe I ama life memberof Arthur's Ape-armed Knuckledraggers club. Though height can serve as somewhat of an indicator of draw length I have found that to be the case only in a general sense. The rest of the equation...hand size, shoulder width, etc.. all tend to throw things off a bit so it isn't really the most reliable indicator for draw length.
I am going to have to revisit my setup for this year to see which shafts and sizes I am going to go with it. I have been using the same accessories, or close to it, for several years now and I feel the need to look around and re-evaluate my setup. Maybe something stiffer will be called for.
