blazers on a right helical

Can you fletch blazers on a right helical or would it be better to keep em straight. I just got a grayling jig and some blazers i am wanting to try out on my axis arrows.

With most all shafts, the blazers will not attach with a right helical jig, because of how short they are. You can fletch them straight, but the best option is to fletch them offset, which is about a 2 degree lay. This will help promote spin, and the blazers will stay on the shaft. The jig manufacturers make an offset jig to do this.

You can use your right helical jig no problem. I do all the thime and they stay on just fine. If you can adjust how much helical you put on the van then don't put but just a little. The Blazer being only 2" you can not really put much twist or helical twist in them so don't worry about that. Put them on the back of the shaft abput 3/4 of inch of the valley of the nock.

you can use a strait clamp and adjust the Jig to where the fletch is on a right hand off set to the arrow.

Well don't tell my A/C Super Slims and Bitzenberger jig that. I just fletched these yesterday.

I fletched mine RH with a Jo-Jan on the Superslim shaft without any problem. (Very similar to Mike from Texas.) Just make sure the jig is adjusted properly so that you've got full contact with the shaft.
