I dont know. I will have to shoot one, that is for sure, but I am not sure that I like the looks, or the idea behind it.
I am not bow expert by any means, but doesnt it seem like (and please, please, please correct me if I am wrong) someone else would have jumped on this. I mean, the concept is pretty simple, but why was Bowtech the first to jump on it?
Anyway, looks are like 1% of the equation, if those things chuck an arrow as well as Bowtech claims they do, then it should be interesting.
Personally, I want to do a side by side between thea new Hoyt Vetrix and a new Bowtech.:D

They really have a look that only a mother could love!:D:D

RE: 2007 Bowtech Bows now online

Oh, I totally agree. They are freakish looking things. But I understand most of the concept. The only thing I don't understand is why it has to pivot where the pins are in the riser. That kind of scares me a little to tell you the truth. And, wouldn't you think that maybe those pivots will eventually vibrate?

I hope I'm wrong. I surely can't wait to get my hands on one to shoot. But, as of now, I have my eye on a new Allegiance.

I can't wait to shoot one. I love technology. I want to shoot the new Hoyt Vectrix too.

From reading on their updated site, it says that the new riser design has 1 1/2 inches of deflex and the risers are forged. That is great performance from a bow with that much deflex geometry, which is more than I can remember being on any bow!

I have tried it with 3 browsers ( Mozilla, Netscape and IE ) and I keep getting a page not available when I click on the 2007 catalog thumbnail. This teasing is driving me nuts.

The looks of the Guardian and Commander are certainly different. Seeing the pics Matt/PA posted earlier of these two bows at full draw, compared to the Tribute or Allegiance is convincing enough to me that it is better technology. The proof will be in the shooting. That Consititution looks like a great bow too. I tend towards longer ATA bows myself anyway. Still remember when 40" ATA was a "short, release shooter's bow." LOL

RE: 2007 Bowtech Bows now online

3 things I see, the tribute has gained .25" of brace:),
the Allegiance is lighter:D,
thecommander has a missprint on the ATA- I sure hope so anyways! ATA= 26 1/2"

So the commander and guardianARE split limbs?

I would be torn between the Guardian and Allegiance ( I like them light),

if my Tribute didn't put such a huge smile on my face that is.:D

The Commander has two typo's that I've found. It should have a 37 1/4" axle to axle and 27"-32" draw length.

The Guardian alsohas a typo stating that it has a dual mod optionbut neither it or the Commander do.

I hope they correct that soon, ata being way off is one thing- but saying you have dual mod options when you don't met let someone down when they arrive at the pro-shop. No biggie, but should be corrected.

They also spell guardian wrong on the website where you click on the different bows. They have it spelled gaurdian.

The Guardian and Commander are interesting looking bows.

One question, How do you press them? Do you have to take the swing arm off?

Thanks,
Allen

RE: 2007 Bowtech Bows now online

I'm sure they'll be around the current top-shelf prices. $749-799 MSRP. But generally you find them in the shops for less. I think the MSRP on the 06 Allegiance was $749 and I bought mine for $100 less.

RE: 2007 Bowtech Bows now online

Very disappointing considering I just bought the Old Glory and it is not in the '07 lineup. This is something I knew buying it but not seeing it on the website makes me feel like I have old technology or something was wrong with the bow. I know that isn't the case as I am getting it dialed in now and will maybe have it where I feel 100% comfortable for the 2nd half of the season.

I haven't been shooting it like I should as I have the Switchback dialed it and is the #1 right now. Stay tuned for after gun season as they may swap positions.

I'm pretty darn sure the Gaurdian will be on my shelf this up coming spring .
TodayI totalled my 04 Patriot Dually,by leaving it on the ground and forgeting it was there .Inoticed my truck wasn't fully off the road ,so I pulled my truck over and then to straighten it up I backed up and destroying my bow in the process. I was totally devestated and have no one to blame but myself .I had a lot of time and money involved in this bow and in a minute it all went down the drain including the rest of my bow season.

Dang, nubo... I really hate to hear that. That totally sucks.

On the bright side, you'll be gettinga new bow... :)

(Still sucks though [:o])

Ouch Nubo! Sorry to hear that. How much longer is your archery season? Yeah i think the Guardian will be a fine choice. I can't wait to get my hands on one.

RE: 2007 Bowtech Bows now online

I still have 2 month's left in archery season .But I have to say the Dually was an awsome bow and I loved it .I had no intention's of getting rid of it ,but was thinking on another bow in the stable's
It was such a dumb mistake ,i usually don't get the bow out of the truck till the very last minute ,but for some reason I got it out first today.

I'm pretty upset about this ,but I have no one to blame but myself ,so I'll get past this and move on to something new in the spring . My friend has offerd me his b06 BT Equilizer for a while, Thank god for friend's ,I would just hate it if i was to break it .

Dang Nubo, you don't have to destroy them to justify a new bow! j/k

Sad to hear of its demise. I've read your threads about that bow for a while now, now it's gone:(.

I'm glad to hear your friend will loan you one in the meantime, I'd hate to see you have to buy a bow without spending time to shop out what you want.

If My Tri or Pat were to get destroyed I'd probably be looking at the Allegiance (it's lighter!) or the Guardian for me next bow.

Time to start saving[&o], for a baddazz new bow:D.

I was just checking the site out yesterday. It took a minute though as my Macromedia player needed an update. ;)

I cannot wait to get my hands around a Commander! This is a bow that I would love to do a full review of.

I can't wait to hear about these bows. I have no doubt it will be a shooter, however I'm really interested to see how long that "truss" thing holds up. As I mentioned before, this is entirely speculation, especially since I've never had one in my hand, but I wonder if that will eventually vibrate enough to wear and begin making noise.

I still have my eye on a new Allegiance though. I'mdiggin the improvements.;)

Good point. However, I would have to believe that they put the prototypes through some serious stress tests before putting these to market. It would be a huge gamble if they did not and would not be typical of their track record.

It will be fun to try them out though won't it? I just have to decide which one as a 30.5 inch draw I can shoot fairly comfortably. ;)

Well I just have to have the Commander after looking at the specs on Bowtech's web site.

Seeing I quit my job yesterday and started a new job today with less hours to work and a bucket full of money more than I was getting I am heading to the shop tomorrow morning to place my order;):)

Dang I hope my soon to be ex wife dont find out about it:D

Well after looking at it and looking at it I think I may pick up aGuardian this spring.

I didn't like the way the bow looked when I first saw it, but the more I look the more it starts to grow on me.

Go to BowTech's web site and download the 2007 catalog. Look at any of the bows and right click on the picture and it will open up a window that has "zoom tools" that will let you zoom in on any part of the bow for a better idea on how they are put together.
