I'll just pick one out of the BowTech 2003 line, already put togther, proven dependable, and warrantied for a lot less than a custom.

Rangeball,

I am not really sure what the methond to HC's madness is these days. At the time I had the "light carbon bow bug". Although it didn't take long to get over it. Carbon can be a very stong material. But if the formula isn't correct or there is a flaw in the curing process, it can snap like a brittle pencil(I have seen it). I am not sure if HCA makes the Carbon riser thinner or not. The best I recall the specs were pretty similar the carbon is simpler a lighter(really can't speak intelligently on HC's manufacturing process). All I can say is that I saw what can happen when it goes wrong. I am sure someone will come along with a process that makes carbon a viable option but I will be leary and probably won't be able to bring myself to shoot another carbon riser bow.

That is unless BowTech goes carbon in 2004

I don't know about the smorgasbord, BUT...

I have a Golden Eagle Natural Series riser.:)

AND a pair of Oregon BK cams!

Have to get a pair of limbs, make the string and cables, etc.
(any suggestions?)

Don't know how it will turn out, but it will be fun trying.

I actually have pair of Alpine split limbs that I am going to try first, but I need to take up some space in the GE split limb pockets. I'll try to use a dampening material of some type. We'll see what the draw wt. and length turn out to be on trial #1.

If the project is a bust, I will sell the parts back on ebay where I got them.

Avoid the inevitable until it is absolutely unavoidable!

Gee, If I could only get me a Patriot with a 31" draw, I'd be all set. I wonder why it isn't available??????

Pinmaster, try a Pat. without the grip with a 30 mod., it may be very close with a loop. Mine shot 274 fps at 67 pounds with a 453 grain arrow.
