Smoother Tribute!

Well all the information I have been told about the smooth mod is TRUE! I just got back from the pro shop with my new smooth mods and switched them out inabout a minute. The draw cycle is greatly improvedfor my taste, especially for the upcoming deer season and bulky clothing. Even better I only paid ten buck for them.
I was shooting tonight and with everything else the samesetting as before @ 25 yards my 420 gr arrows were hitiing the same marks as the fast mod. I only use 60lb for hunting and now it feels likeabout 55 or less.
I am pleased to say the least!

Yes, the speed you lost was insignificant to arrow point of impact. Most people don't realize this. The only thing that you did loose is some KE but again, the Tribute puts plenty of that out anyway. I'm thinking about purchasing the smooth mods myself for my Allegiance even though I think she's shooting as smooth as she ever could but you can't creep on her, she'll let you know your doing that.

I've been VERY busy lately with many things and I haven't shot ANY of my bows for about 3 weeks
I did break out my Tribute a few days ago and took about 5 shots with my new FMJ's and Slick Tricks and at the first draw,, I had forgot just how smooth this bows is
It's no wonder the Tribute has been a top seller this year!

I ordered my bow with speed mods, it arrived with smooths.
My shop swapped them out for me& I went home with the speeds installed and the smooths in a baggy.
After a week of shooting the speeds I thought the bow set at 61# felt just like my Patriots 65# pull. So I swapped to the smooths and awwwe, I soon found the bow I was after.
The smooth mods with just a touch of adjustment on the draw stop (over factory setting) and I was home.
Sure I instantly lost 8 fps, but it was energyI was willing to give up for the payoff of a buttery smooth draw that allowed some creep without yanking me forward.
I've never even once considered reinstalling the speed mods, they look good in my gear box though
.
BTW the speed at 61 with smooths is almost Identical to the Pat at 65#.
My goal was a 400 grain arrow doing 270, the smooth Tributemet that goal.

Sounds like I need to try a Bowtech out this year. My Trykon XL is shooting great, but I've always wanted to try a Bowtech out.
I just can't seem to buy a bow that is under 36". IF Bowtech would finally open their eyes, and realize they have a hole in their lineup, they would build a 36" Allegiance, and sell em like hotcakes...
Sheesh... Guess 34.5" will have to do. Crossing my fingers for 07 though...

once you have been blinded by a bow you feel everything down to the color of the camo lol.. my tribute has the speed mode but i would give up the 8fps for a little smother draw and release as i stated in a nother post about the 2006 tribute the bow in fact is shockingly fast and could use some smothing out if useing the speed modes IMHO
i have shot and tune the bow out for this season and still feel this way about the bow . the speed is over fast and a heavyer arrow help some ..
after about 400 shots the bow started to com down ...speed modes for short yardish is the way i went but i may change them out next year from what you reply about the smoth modes ...

Man, I must have something wrong with me. I got the smooth mods with my Tribute. I bought the fast mods, and will never go back to the smooth. Maybe they are closer to the way my last bow was, and I'm just use to that type of draw.
