I switched from aluminum to carbon this year after saying that I never would. I'm glad now that I made the change. I sufferred no degradation in accuracy like I was told I would. I use the Blackhawk Vapor Pro 4000's.

Personally I use aluminums still. Although they are the straightest and most consistant material which can be bought for arrows at this time. I still wonder if that straightnesscorrelates into target accuracy when the amount of oscillations which is given off my aluminums is taken into consideration.I have not used carbonsforabout6 yearsnow. Imoved away from carbonsmainly because at the time I could only get them in light weights and spine consistancy was a real issue. But I know that things have changedsomewhat in the past six years and a more consistant spine has been achieved in the diameter of the arrow and heavier weights are now being offered. Youcan even get themtapered. At some point I may have to give them another try. They are a bit expensive though, and I go through a lot of arrow in a year.

Why would you want to change?

I started with aluminum and tried carbon for around 6 months. I'm now back to aluminum by choice. Before you chose, check out a few Super Slam2314's.

Hmmmm.... I shot XX75 2315's for years with an old PSE round wheel dual cam. Now that I bought a new Reflex Highlander, I went carbon (Beman ICS Hunter 340's). After seeing the difference between carbon and aluminum, I wonder why it took me so long to make that "grand leap of faith" to carbon! :D

Once you go "black" you never go back.... Carbon rules! It's either straight/shootable or it's not.
