Going to try a Mathews for the first time this weekend. Me and my 05 Allegiance are not working good together. Maybe its me,but after my shoulder injury I keep thinking a need a smother shooting bow. I get tired fast! Having a hard time staying on target. One more thing....does this sound right? arrow weight 406gr,tip 100gr,29" draw,65lbs=275fps???? Thanks

If you do bring your credit card and make room in the trunk for a new bow. As far as the speed you have to also take into account any other items on the string such as brass nocks, silencers, kisser.peep. etc. What is the IBO of the bow?

instead of spending all that money on a new bow, why not just back your bowtech down to 60 lbs and still be shooting faster than the switchback at 65?

while i like my switchback's draw cycle much better than the binary bowtechs - i agree w/ josh - why not just back the bow down. 60# out of that bow is fast enough to drop anything that walks in north america.

SPEED SPEED SPEED!!! Everyone on here is so worried about speed. Speed is great for accuracy but thats not what kills the deer. ENERGY, Weight, and Perfect shot placement. I can put my PSE Nova against a Mathews in the woods adn we can both shoot a deer, My Nova i think isnt all that fast compared to a Mathews but I can bet I dont have to track my deer far. The longest I have had to track is 24 yards.

The Allegiance is a fine bow.
