So tell me: Why is this dual-cam Patriot gonna be so hot as opposed to the single cam? Here we've been inundated with how single cams are supposedly the bomb, and now companies are going back to two, or close to it(e.g., Hoyt with its cam-and-a-half thingamajiggy)?

Discipline -- not desire -- determines destiny.

Thanks Matt, you da man....

MQ1shooter, I think you'll see that more and more bow companies are swinging towards the dual or hybrid style cams. There seems to be more of growing interest for twins versus singles these days.

No offense but I think Mathews has kind of backed themselves into a corner by never offering and even badtalking a dual cam bow in their advertising.

FWIW, I'm not opposed to single cam bows. I own 3 of them right now. However, I am planning on 3-D and hunting next year with dual cam bows.

And also, To my knowledge all but one bow company has always offered dual cams in their line so it's not that they are going back to but rather refining/improving dual cam technology.

Greg, (MQ1 Shooter)
Yeah ,what's so great about the thought of a bow with a 35"ATA 7.7" brace height hunting bow, that will do 335-340fps providing upwards of 90ft lbs of KE with little recoil , noise or vibration, better nock travel AND less timing issues than the competition's single cams?

You know.....for the life of me Greg ,I can't see what all the hype is about myself?

Not to pick nits, but you must be using some kind of Pennsylvania Math to figure out KE for the DC PAT ...at least when using the IBO speeds...still it's between 87 and 89 pounds with a 350 grain arrow...for me, using 28" modules and the (conservative) speed I estimate of 280 FPS at 6 grains per LB she'll be pumping out 73 foot pounds. And If I like the new grip and can fit into the 29" modules..(austin powers mode)OHHHH YEAAAAHHHHHH BBBAAABBBBY(/austin powers mode)
