Default Whats the smoothest/fastest bow under 4 lbs?

I'm thinking about putting together a new rig......I really want to keep the weight down(assessories and all). So I need to start with the bow. What do you think is the best performing bow under 4 lbs. Many of the new bows are pretty heavy. example Hoyt Trycon...nice bow but the thing is almost 5 lbs!

Thanks

You may be able to start with a bow under < 4 lbs, but you won't be able to finish with a bow under that weight.

You would be talking about a difference of maybe 1 - 1.5 lbs across the board for compounds, but once you add quiver, sight, rest, stabilizer, and any other trinkets you will be up around 6-8 lbs.

Bout the only way you can get a smooth light bow is go traditional - barring that go with a bow that fits you and that you feel most comfortable shooting - the weight will not play as big a factor as feel!

Theheavier one might shoot better - quieter, more stable at full draw, less kick / vibration.

I think that is an oxymoron. The fastest won't be the smoothest. - Under 4 lbs, greatly limits your options. I'd pick one or the other. Get the smoothest (you'll have to test them, everyone has a different opinion). Or get the fastest (regardless of how poorly you may shoot it).

The Tribute is 4.1 lbs............

Not the smoothest bow at 70 with the speed mods, but...........

Set that sucker up at 65, shoot the smooth mods and it is like butter and STILL faster than any trycon or XT...

What Rack said... and that's the exact way I've got mine set up.

In today's bow world, you can have your cake and eat it too. The Tribute is smooth and fast set up this way.
