Default limb tightness?

I turned my bow poundage all the way up the other day and found that my lower limb was about 1/2 a turn looser than the top limb. Should it have been that way or should they both be equal?

squirrel is actually pretty close. You do need to check your tiller. In case you don't know, that's the distance form the limb where it meets the limb pocket in a straight line to the string. Those need to be the same, top and bottom limbs. I wouldn't crank them quite all the way down, though. I would turn them back about 1/2 turn from being bottomed out.

Hyt cam and a half systems seem to be the pickiest systems out there when it comes to tiller settings. Keep an eye on that.

Just bottom it out, and then do equal turns from both ends till you get it to your desired poundage. Then measure both sides till they are exactly the same, it's not that hard.

yea i think i can figure it out... I just got worried for a little. I printed out the owners manual and I am confident i can fix it now. Guess i just learned something new

I was just upset w/ myself. I wanted to get as much fps outta my bow as possible (which wasnt worth it cause it made my bow louder)and all i got was like 4 fps. And before that my bow was shooting perfect. Oh well, I'll just take this as a learning experience.

And that's all you can do. Messing w/ stuff is how we learn. You can get it back, no problem.

So i just backed my top limb out about 1/4 turn, then did the lower limb 1/2 a turn. I was still a little off so i back the lower limb out some more and now im even. Time to go test my work
