RE: CyberTec setup

Ky,
My HavocTec is outfitted with a Tiger Tuff drop away rest. (extremely durable and accurate for hunting situations. Also, economical.) Cobra Ascent sight with micro TKO pins. Simms Enhancer 2000 with stabilizer enhancer. I also highly recommend the Fletcher Tru-Peeps for hunting. They come in all different sizes, and they are made of aluminum, or some type of metal, NOT plastic. I guess there isn't much stress on the peep anyway, but it is nice to see items that are not plastic. If you set your bow up right (adjust string) you will not ever have to have a tube to align your peep. They are obsolete, and honestly, I can't see why anyone uses them anymore. All you have to do is adjust your string twist. Every bow I have owned has the peep line up great, without the use of rubber tubing.

Does anybody know what the #2 versa cams draw adjustment range is on the cybertec?

I don't really know but assuming that if the #3 starts at 28" the #2 wiil most likely will end at 28 1/2".That is the way my Ultratec did in 2001.

I would call Hoyt at (801)537-1470 I like your choice so far and I would also get the shortest possible cam.

The reason I ask is because I want my draw to be set close to the cams max. Thanks everybody.

Ky,I am going to put my vote in for the extreme pin sites for your new bow.I use them and it is the toughest sight I have used and is light.give them a look www.extremearchery.com
They are also made in Ky. that is a plus.

also look into some of the fallaways,they work great.

I'm looking at getting one of those Cybertecs myself but I love my Striker II and I am having a hard time talking myself into it,or should I say my wife into it.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hey Roller,
I was in my local pro shop last week looking
at new bows, (Q2 and Cybertec) They told me that in their experience the cybertec has been substantially faster than the Q2. He said that with all things else being equal it
should be at least 8 to 15 fps faster. I am interested to find out what your results will be. Keep us posted!! &quot;KWB&quot;

Unfortunately all things are not equal&quot; between the two. That's because the CyberTec has a harder cam, and lower brace height than the Q2. Even the slower Excel cam (Hoyt's version of the Mathews SL cam) is not as easy to draw as the SL cam. My HavocTec w/ Excel cam is very quiet but not as quiet as my Q2.

The #2 V-cam CyberTec I almost bought had a draw length range from 26 to 29.5&quot; or perhaps 26.5 to 29&quot;. I shot both a #3 and #2 V-cammed CyberTec bow at the shop. Buy the size 2 if have a 28-29&quot; draw. It has less vibration, a nicer draw force curve and faster. Had it's brace been as high as my Q2's I would have bought a CyberTec instead of the HavocTec.

On the Cybertec I ordered I ordered the #2 versa cam. It goes 26&quot;-29.5&quot;, I plan on shooting it at 29&quot;, at least thats what Ive shot on my other bows. Sure wish it would get in!! Im putting a Bodoodle Bullet rest on it, HHA optimizer Lite sight, and a 5&quot; sorbotek stabilizer and the fletcher tru-peep sight 1/8&quot;

I have the #2 VersaCam on my HavocTec, and the limb says &quot;25.5-28.5 draw&quot;.
