Default Loopset pliers

Anyone use or see one? Looks cool though, wonder if it really works as advertised.

Cougar Mag, I haven't seen them yet or know what they are. By the name I would guess that they are used for putting your string loop on. Or maybe not! What are they and where did you see them. I get several bowhunting mags and haven't seen them yet.

I use a regular needle nose pliers for tightening my loop--is there a specific tool now for string loops?--haven't seen it yet.

needle nose pliers with the tips turned out so the loop doesn't slip off when you're tightening? that would be a nice thing to have.

The loopset pliers are located on page 5 of Viper Archery Products 2006 gear guide. Its for putting on a D-loop and the description says it will pre-stretch the loop, and enables the user to make the same length loop each time. No description/picture is available on their website. Retail price in the brochure is $19.95. Instructional DVD is also available.

Thanks. I figured it was something like that. I also just use a pair of needle nose. I will have to check them out.

Yeah, they work awesome. I used to use needle nose, but those things are nice. You don't need to spend the money though.

I also have a passion for tools--even though I may use it once or so, the thought of having it, gives me comfort. I had about 4 or 5 different nocking pliers and when Tru-Fire came out with their universal crimping tool, which can also remove thenocks quite easily I had to get that as well.
