Gloves for Bowhunting- Need Help
The only thing I get frustrated with when I'm on stand are my gloves. I have a wrist strap release and need small gloves. The problem is that my hands get cold, hand warmers and pockets don't do much for it either.
I need some of your input on really warm, not too expensive, and not bulky gloves. Oh yeah, and they must be MOBU.
Also if you have other ideas of how to keep my hands warm, I would like to hear them. Thanks for your help.

X-Ring, in really cold weather I use one of those hand muffs. You can stick both hands in with a hand warmer. I tie the cord so it hangs below my knees when I stand up. When it's not so cold, I stuff my hands in my crotch, outside of my pants of course. I always wear thin camo gloves.

Handmuff, I have two muffs one inside the othe and I use a hot hands Chemmical hand warmer inside. I wear fingerless thin gloves. I tried a pair of scent lock shooting gloves butfound I'm haveing a torquing problem. Idrove myself bats I thought my bow tune went south on me. Then I went out and shot without gloves and my accuracy returned. I might even try a pair of choppers and just let them fall to the side when a chot presennts itself. I shoot fingers by the way but, I had the same problem when I shot with a release. Try a muff I also use mine to carry stuff out to the stand.

I use a few different items when its real cold out. I take the muff and tie it to my right leg so that it is like another pocket but lower. I then put a pack or 2 of the hot hands chemical warmers inside. This is for the release hand that also has a thermax golve liner with the rubber grip dots on the palm. The other hand has the same liner and a thin gortex mitten shell that has the handwarmers in them as well but they are positioned to the back side of the hand so they dont interfer with the grip.

i also use the mittens that fold back into a glove. i have had good luck with them except for the velcro that holds the mitten back. it is not strong enough and can let go at the wrong time. i take them to the cleaners and have a little snap installed so they don't slip. i don't wear gloves under mine just use the release with a bare finger. if you have to leave your hand out for a while you can roll your fingers back into the mitten without taking the fold back part down.

I also like the muff, but this year I've taken a pair of the cheap jersey gloves and cut a hole in the release handed glove, so that the release can be under the glove, at the wrist, and the primary part of the release hangs out of the whole, also cut the finger tip open so that I can feel the trigger with my bare skin, and the other glove, I cut the palm part out of it so that I can feel the grip on my bare skin. I shoot alot better when I can feel the bow and trigger, I've tryed to shoot with gloves, but my accuracy suffered until I altered a pair so that I could still feel the bow and release on bare skin.

I hunt in pretty much any temps with just a pair of spandoflage type gloves. I cut the fingers off the shooting hand so I can wear my shooting glove under it. I keep my hands in my jacket pockets when the temps take a dip and hold my bow either on my lap or under my arm if standing.
