I was lowering my new Allegiance the last day of our season in Jan and it fell approx 10 to 15 feet to the ground. When I got home I drew it and didn't like how the string looked comming off the pulley (admittedly, I don't know what I'm looking at). I shot it in the yard at 20 yards and my groupings were not what I'm used to, but it's no surprise that I'll need to re-sight. Does this picture I'm including look like anyone/everyone else's bow at full draw?

Well by looking at the the picture its plain to see the fall has caused some extensive damage to the cam and possibly the limbs. At full draw your string should still be aligned to the cam. May have warped the limbs and bent the cam, I would refrain from using this bow untill you have it serviced by a professional. On a good note, it least it didnt happen in the middle of the rut. Sorry for your loss.

I don't think it's your limb's ,I think you've bent the axle on this one or the bearing has come unseated .I wrap the rope around my bow twice and then clip it,I've learned that just wrapping it around once and hooking the plastc clip isn't strong enough to hold it .

Yep, my guess is bent axles or something like that... I don't think -- but could be wrong -- that a sudden impact like that would permanently "warp" the limbs; I think it would take prolonged exposure to a high heat source or something to set in a twist in the limbs.

Are you sure you are not torquing the bow?

My wife got as lined up as she could with the camera while I drew - I could tell she wasnervousthough and I was as well. It's the best zoom in of the pics I got. When I look straight down the string at the bottom cam - i see the string comming off crooked as well.

By the way...

As an offshore fisherman, I really don't want to admit that my knot failed, but have to. I use stainless steel commercial crabber clips for everything imaginable and I had, in a pinch, tied in a second piece of the 400# tarred line I use for decoys and chose a stupid way to do it. Isn't there something about it's better to own up to your mistakes?

I am with everyone here and think its the axle that is bent.
I wouldent shoot your bow till you get a shop to fix the problem.I would also have them check out your strings and cables .

Nothing is wrong with your bow judging from the pic. Every single binary cam Bowtech does that at full draw. You can take any new one off the shelf and look at the cams at full draw and that's exactly what they look like.

There was a thread about that cam lean at full draw last year when the 2005's came out. I never did read the entire thing to find out exactly why they do that but it is normal.

That pic is making it look much much more severy than it really is. Your wife obviously isn't directly behind the string so it looks very severe but if you were to get a pic from directly behind the string it wouldn't look so bad.

It's funny you wrote that bigbulls; I was at a BowTech dealer today and the tech behind the counter was complaining of the exact same thing... He had me draw every bow there and look at the cam lean. On some of the bows, I think he was just seeing some things that weren't there, because he had literally convinced himself that they all had extreme cam lean.

There was one Equalizer there which did have very noticeable lean, but the rest weren't bad at all. He was even trying to convince me my Tribute had bad cam lean (I had taken it in to swap out some draw mods with him), and I was sitting there holding it at full draw looking it up and down, and I just was not seeing it. He relented and said, "Well, you can't see it from behind, but it's real visible from the side..."

Anyway... I'm not arguing what you said at all... just funny I had that experience today and then come back and read your reply.

Looking at the pic up top closer, it almost looks like the cam itself is perpendicular with the axle itself, but the right limb tip is lower than the left at full draw... Whatever the case (and it could be the angle of the pic as you pointed out), that string is definitely coming off the string track a bit weird.

Yeah, that pic is making it look a lot more severe than it really is. If you follow the left veticle line of the limb you will see that it is not exactly level but leaning to the right which makes the close up of the tips look real bad. The limb is going to twist when you draw any bow regardless of who makes it.

The pic is also taken off to the left side which also adds to the bad look of the limb twist.

And he is very likely trying to hold the bow off to the side away from his head and body so his wife can get a decent pic which would cause him to torque the bow.

My 2005 alleginace does exactly what his bow is doing. Although mine does not look as severs as this pic makes his look.

Basically the limbs are twisting slightly. All limbs twist at full draw due to the cable guard pulling to one side. Also if I position my head where the camera appears to be my cam and limb looks exactly the same as the pic.
