MZE Next Generation Rest

I just purchased a new MZE Next generation rest for my Bowtech Mighty Mite VFT. The first archery shop I called on this rest said all they had was the Hoyt model but it would work fine on my bowtech. Then I went to Lancaster Archery in Pa and they also only had the hoyt model and said it would work so I bought it. I havent tried it yet but has anyone used this new Hoyt version on a Bowtech? Any imput would be great..

The model you need is the 600PC. Muzzy has 3 versions of the New Generation: One for the Mathews, one for the Hoyt, and the 600PC for other bows including Bowtech.

The funny thing about the first archery shop I called is that it is the shop that the MZE was created so I figured they know what they are talking aboutbut maybe not. Does anyone even know if the 600PC model is even out yet? Maybe thats why I keep having places tell me that they have the Hoyt model

I just got information back from Muzzy tech support. The only difference between the 600 Hoyt model and the 600 PC model is the side plate is a littler thicker on the Hoyt model but it won't be a problem on my Bowtech. They are currently out of the 600 PC model side plate but said they will get me the new side plate when they come in. What great customer service. Another reason to buy Muzzy products I guess!!!!

RE: MZE Next Generation Rest

I have one for my MM VFT. The difference is in the length and configurationof the arm that connects to the turnbuckle. In addition, the overdraw plate cannot be used if you are outfitting an older MZE to a new Bowtech. I found that there is MORE than enough travel with the new system - and it works flawlessly. I had mine tuned and ready for micro-tuning after about 15 minutes. If you have an older style MZE, the new parts to configure it to the 600PCwill cost you $14. That's what I did - and it works better than I anticipated. Call Muzzy and they willset you up!! Great customer service.

RE: MZE Next Generation Rest

I have it set up on my Bowtech MM VFT and it works great. The hoyt side plate actually works better because I did some customizing on the grinder. Now the side plate fits into the bow like it was made for my bow instead of just a flat side plate. The only thing is the directions tell you to cross the cables above the cable slide on solo cam Bowtechs and mine came from the factory crossing below the cable slide. I now have them crossed above I just hope that doesnt wear on the cable or mess up the bow.Has anyone else switched where the cables cross and has it affected anything? I have plently of travel with this rest.
