Is it just me , ...... or are all trykon owners surprized with the speed of your bow !? I started with a 518gr arrow@ 284 f.p.s. , made a few changes to the arrows , now they are 544gr and still fly @ 276 f.p.s. I even shot through another chrony! This just blows me away , I know I've got 80# limbs but wow! I really wasn't expecting this! Maxxed out I'm at 83#s This bow is so smooth and quiet. Anyone else out there experiencing the same......? let me know![8D]

I have my Trykon XL tuned down to 60 lbs. because I am using the bow for league and competition next month. Even with the tune down, I am still rating at 264 fps. I will eventually tune up to 70 lbs. for pigs, turkey, badger, and coyote. This also, since purchasing the Trykon XL, I put on a drop away rest, trophy taker w/micros, and man has that helped the path of the arrow. I always stuck to prong rests like Nap and so forth, but not anymore. Drop away for me is the way to go.

man, you must be a moose! you might actually knock a deer off its feet with a shoulder hit.

That has me laughing all the way to the coffee pot for some reason. Funniest thing I read in awhile

Actually, this bow is very easy to draw , for 80#! I'm not at all straining to pull it back. I had a 70# super tech that felt almost the same. My trykon is a 80% let-off , so I can hold it very easy! the 70# trykon pulled so easy , I just ordered an 80........It really slings those heavy arrows![:-]

I shot the Trykon last week at my local pro shop!! They put a whisker biscuit on it and I shot it once with a Easton Super Magnum 60-75 and WOW I told him I'll take it!!! The guy wanted to check out how fast it was so I shot it through the chronograph twice with the same arrows and it was shooting 303 fps!!! He had me shoot one of his Easton Axis but that was a little slower at 294 fps! I put a NAP 3000 on it and I am curious what the speed is now! That whisker biscuit had to slow the arrows down a little!!

just shot my trykon xl through a chrono the other day, this is my set up and the speedi got out of it.
-30 inch draw
-72# draw wheight/80% letoff
-355 grain goldtip series 22 ultralight arrow
-305 fps
this is slower than i expected but the bow still performs great. I assume when they figured the ibo speed with a bow thathada 65% letoff, and of course didn't have any thing on the string.

I just received a 7-#-80# trykon xl and have it set at 73#'s.
I shot a 430 grain arrow at 290 fps. I think that is close to 80 ft pounds if kenetic energy! Should be good to go. They are putting a drop away rest on it now so that might pick up a few fps as well.
