BUYING A NEW BOW
I’m new at this; bought a used bow (PSE Quantum) 3 months ago and got hooked on the sport. It shoots well in my opinion but I have really not shot much bows.
I live in Mexico and it is very difficult to go to a shop and try different brands or even different models of one brand. I have read some of the post on the forums and it seams the top 3 brands are (in no particular order) Hoyt Trykon, Bowtech Tribute or Allegiance and Mathews Switchback… Given the fact that it’s not very plausible for me to go and try all this bows, I’m looking for opinions and why? Thanks |
RE: BUYING A NEW BOW
All the bows that you mentioned are very good and you could not
go wrong with any of them. I bought a Mathews Switchback about 2 months ago and I really like it, very smooth and very quiet and it shoots an average of 288 fps at 70# with a 28.5" BlackHawk Vapor 4000c with a 100 grain point and a 29" draw length. I hope this helps. |

RE: BUYING A NEW BOW
Why can you not try them all. I do think that it is worth it to give them all a try. I did and went with the Trykon. All are great shooters and I think you would be happy with any but only truely excited about one.

RE: BUYING A NEW BOW
Since you don't live close to a dealer or archery shop, I would get the Bow with the least amount of adjustment required down the roadand the bow with the best quality strings. BOWTECH, BOWTECH, BOWTECH! :D
