Bowtech shooter, that speed explanation left me still confused. What does the BKII short brace do at 29", the 350 or the 342?

Sorry I missed the question. BowTech doesn't advertise one specific speed. They advertise a minimum and maximum. Every bow gets tested before it ships from the plant and if the bow doesn't meet or excced the advertised speeds it won't get shipped. It gets torn down and rebuilt until it meets the specs.
Every bow is shipped with a Factory Test Sheet (birth certificate) if you will. On this sheet the Test weight, Draw length, Tested arrow weight, Serial Number and speed it shot are documented on it.

I hope that clears things up for you....

What does VFT stand for??? I know it's probably a really dumb question. But I assume it has more horizontal limbs like the Patriot. (Vertical Force Technology???) Just a guess....Anyone shot the the Samsons? How's the draw cycle on the 90#?

Sheesh! Can you say speed?!?! You're going to have to wear thermal protective gloves to shoot those things.

Before I get a bunch more emails I'd like to make a note. The 2002 single cam Patriot has a different limb length and deflections than what the 2003 Dual will have.

VFT is Vertical Force Technology

I'm very impressed with the speeds and specs of the Pro 40 Dual!

I'm swamped guys I'll try to answer if and when possible.

I told ya it was gonna be worth it folks!

Last year was the first time in many years that I could remember that I wanted at least 4 bows from one manufacturer...And that was Bowtech. This coming year it's the same thing.

Of course I'm really looking forward to the Pat DC, and I REALLY wish I had one now so I could hunt with it (My season has not even started yet) but I'm also looking forward to the wheel bow..that thing should be awesome for spots and 3Ds. Smoother draw, incredible speed...that'll feel mighty nice after 20 targets or so.

Y'know now I think Pat (Dinan) should be made to post the infamous "pic" now. I don't have it anymore (deleted it by accident).

Ausie might have it ..but I think he needs to ask Pat's permission.

Hey folks,

Here is some info straight from Kevin at Bowtech (uhm the guy who designs the bows)This is a quote of a post he did over at the Bowsite.

"Yes, the grip has been changed for 2003. More narrow throat and a less rounded heel. Also .125 off the riser from front to back. The bows are also 8 to 10 ounces lighter. New cams and mods, smoother draw with a little more speed 2-5 fps, with higher brace heights for the single cams. New risers, new bushing material, new cable slides, new sand pocket design. New dual cams that are smokin fast, smooth draw, 70% effective let-off, cable tuners, and a solid wall. 350 fps with a 6 3/4" brace on Black Knight. Patriot Dual 7 3/4" brace 340 fps low recoil and vibration, feels like a Patriot during the shot. New ES VFT 6 5/8" brace 333 fps with low recoil and vibe, vertical force limb angles. P40 Wheel 7 1/4 brace, 38" axle 312 fps @ 70# 30" draw, with an energy wheel. BlackHawk for 03 28 7/8 axle, 8" brace, 2.85# mass 317 fps."

RAWK

ON

TOAST!
