http://www.huntersfriend.com/2006-Bow-Reviews/compound-bows-sorted-by-IBO-Speed.htm

I'm having a hard time copying & posting the specs, but there they are.

The 328 for the tribute & 335 for the Allegience stand out.

I'd love to try and figure out what kind of speed you could aquire with your set up, but just guessing is out of my field.

Total arrow weight would be a good starter for those who might try though. Goldtips- 55/75 or 75/95's?

Right off hand I'd say you could easily get a good 15fps faster that your current rig with an allegience. 335-312= 23fps. Bow vs/ bow. in IBO form.

Your 31" draw should gain you about 9 fps above IBO specs. Your 31" draw is not the norm, so comparing your speed to those of other archers around you is kinda tough unless they are also 31" draws.
Generally speaking I've found each inch to = 9fps, so if they were 29" draw's you have an 18fps advantage form the get go. I've never fooled with a 31" bow though.

Err-oh I just noticed a major glitch in my thinking. Your 31" draw limit's your amount of bow selection significantly. I noticed 2 hoyts that would surpass your current speed that offer a 31" draw, but little else.

Looks like your pro-shop owner may have been right & I am worng- my bad.

The Bowtech Tomcat can go 31" and sports and 315 ibo with a HUGE 8 3/8" brace height (no more jacket or wrist slap), add your 9fps and your looking at 324 fps. At $529 in kit form sporting Binary cams, there's a bow worth looking into.
A test drive couldn't hurt anything and one shot through the chrony would tell you what your looking for. One shot without having your watch removed by the string= priceless.

I shoot Gold Tip 3555 arrows. I figured with a longer drawlength it was hard to compare my speeds with others if they were shorter.thx for the info its just hard to pay big bucks for 9 or 10fps faster. Ive looked at new bows and even saved up the bucks to get one but hard to justify one right now so I bought a new gun.

To be honest the 31" with a loop and release still feels to short for me but I make due with it. I havent checked drawlengths on alot of new bows but maybe that is why he told me that at the shop that the new bows he had wouldnt help much. He basically told me Id be wasting my money with what they have.

I hear ya, I decided against a new bow last year (too many new models to choose from) and went with a new gun myself -a Savage Striker in .308.
Toys are toys, one or two a year aught to keep me happy.

Depending on arrow options a 30" shaft would put you between 357 & 400 grains finished weight.
This is using http://home.att.net/~sajackson/arrow_gt.htmlas the tool.

Sounds like your Baby G is still putting a smile on your face and holes in your quarry. Have fun with that new gun!
