I had no clue, Gibblet! :DI don't make it over to AT nearly as much as I do here, but I have seen your name mentioned very favorably over there during the limited time I've visited... just as I have here too, of course! ;)

Learn something new every day... :)

yep, i've got a couple customers i've made friends with, gone hunting with, that just call me 'nasty'. if jaime answers the phone they ask her if they can speak to 'nasty', or the 'nasty man', or something else silly like that. chris introduced me to his wife as nasty. now she doesn't know who i am when i call and say its john. 'oh, why didn't you tell me it was 'nasty'?' that's whay she'll say.

Do you make a three color combo string? How do your servings hold up?
Do you serve the loops? Thanks brother gibblet!

RE: Which string maker?

3 color, no problem

serving, mine hold up fine, everyone else's, i don't know. with the new machine, they go on so tight when i finish a run its warm. i had to play around with a set for me of course and on my single cam you can't even see stress where there is supposed to be wear. stuff happens though, and nothing comes out perfect every time, that's why if there's an issue i'll take care of it hassle free.

i serve the loops with string material ( i swiped the technique from VT, who swiped it from crackers - so indirectly i swiped it from mike, there's something i bet you didn't know)

Zouk! I have had one of [John's] 3 coloured string's and floating yoke cable's on since early spring in which is before he got his new machine, it has worked flawlessly for me this season and has held up well through the warm and cold element's .I'm sure now his string and cable's will be even better .I'm just trying to decide which colour's on which to try next. I'm still going to stick with the floating yoke's because they're by far superior to the standard cable's ,smoother to draw and feel's as though your pulling less weight and no limb twist to speak of as well.
John does a great job on any type of string and cables ,and he does it right the first time as long as your measurement's are correct .He's easy to work with and he certainly has a great sense of humour .
