By the way I forgot to say it is a 2002 hoyt ultratec with 3000 limbs and command cams if you need what bow i have to answer my question about twisting the string or cables sorry about that

You shouldn't have to twist the string. The command cams are very adjustible for draw length , down to 1/4" increments I believe.
