There's several bow companys that make good bows. That said, right now Mathews seem to retain their value better than any of the others. I often see used ones on Ebay bring more than new ones bought at the right place.

I bought my Parker off of a classified and got a great deal. It has a little more hand shock than a Mathews, but for me, shoots as well as the 3 Mathews I have owned.I am talking about very little hand shock. One reason is it only weights 3.2 lbs. which is great in the woods.I like the draw cycle and the weight and am willing to give up the dead in the hand feel for the advantages mentioned. There are a lot of good bows out there. I would shoot some and see what suits your needs and feels right for you.Mathews is a great bow and as said, will hold it's value better than most bows, but there are many just as good IMO. Don
