Default Chrono'd the Switchback today...

Here's the particulars:
Mathews Switchback
26" draw/ 71 lb draw weight
Whisker Biscuit
only string accessories are super string leeches and D-loop

shooting Goldtip 5575's at 25.5"
fletched with 3 Blazer vanes
125 gr field tips
overall weight 370 gr/ 13.5% F.O.C.

shot 5 arrows twice each for a total of ten shots

Results:
Average velocity: 253.1 fps
High: 254.3 fps
Low: 251.3 fps
Spread: 2.98 fps

Based on the average velocity above K.E. would be 52.64 ft/lbs

I only post this because I enjoy hearing how fast bows are shooting in the real world and I'm sure some of you do as well...

29"DL
68#DW
355grain arrow (Maxima 250)
No peep or nock set...Only thing on string isd-loop and tied nock for kissing my nose.

And how short are your A/C/Cs? That's awfully light for a 3-49 with vanes and a 100 grain tip. Mine at 27.5-28" generally run in the 385 grain range w/ duras or arizonas.

Mowtown , I think you arrow weight is wrong , you should be at around 400 grains with a 29 inch 349 ,vanes ,and 100grain tips . The reason I responded is that is the arrow I shoot but with vanes, and Im at 375 grains .

He is shooting blazers which are quite light compared to most vanes. He could be shaving 10-15 grains easily with those vanes.

His post says Duravanes?....

Blazers weigh about 9 grains less for 3 compared to AAE/Duras, BTW
