Default Right on at 20yds off at 30yds?

Wondered if any of you gurus could help with my husband's bow. His broadheads are hitting right on at 20 yards with the field points, but at 30 yards he is off to the left. He doesn't have time to make drastic changes since season starts on Saturday. Any ideas about what is causing this and how to fix itwould be appreciated. If it helps his specs are: 60# using 2413's with 125 graintips. Arrows are cut to 29.5". Not getting any fletch contact that we can see.

I would bet if he steped back to 40 he would be even more off to the left.I would say his arrow rest is not centered. The farther you shoot from the more your tinny little problems show up.

Papper tune the bow.

I think Elk has it figured, I'd try and move the rest towards the bow between 1/32 and 1/16" and hopefully all is well.

I agree, I bet the rest is off. Are the arrows leaning to one side when stuck in the target, even though your shooting straight at it?

Sounds like the arrow spine is to stiff. A few suggestions to correct are: Bieter nocks, they are a bit longer than standard, heavier broadhead, increase draw weight or fewer stand string for a quick fix.

It sound like the centershot as described above. He may be canting his bow. How is the point of impact with field points? I would do a "walk back" test and go from there. Good luck.

Yep. Do a walk back tune, and it should bring them back right.

Thanks for the replies. Will try moving his rest in a small amount and see if that helps. We did paper tune and then I thought he did a walk back tune, but I guess he started and never finished! I'm the one who stressesabout tuning, practicing, etc. and he's the one who brings home a deer every year. Go figure. Thanks again for the help!

Just a thought, watch to be sure he is not canting the bow a little to the left.
