Broadhead Weight?
#1
Hello everyone, I am an avid reader of this forum, but this is my first post. Here is my situation: I shoot a 2000 model Hoyt Raider, it has been a great bow for me and I shoot it very well. The last couple of years I had it tuned to perfection, broadheads and field points impact identical. This yearI replaced my string and switched to a whisker biskitrest, and now it will not tune for my broadheads! I have adjusted my rest and nock point, paper tune, everything. My arrows are consistently low. 3 inches at 25 yards, 6 inches at forty and so on. In all my frustration i put on an old 4 blade Muzzy 100. ( Iwas currently using 125 grain). It flew perfect from 10 to 60 yards, one inch groups at 40 yards. So nowis it okto use 100 grain bh's to hunt even though they fly the same as my 125 grain field tips? Thanks in advance for any input.

I know I would .Thats a great broadhead . Your arrows must be flying prety straight if you are getting good groups to 60 yards .
After this season is over you might take your string and cabel off
[your shooting a single cam bow I presume] and twist/untwist untill they are dead on factory specks and go from there . If it was me Id leave it and not worry .

Most people spend a lot of time fiddling with their equiptment trying to get 1 inch groups at 40 yards. If you have accomplished that, why would you mess with it any more. 100 grain broadheads will be sufficient to take down anything but the largest game. Be happy.

If it hits where you point, you can't go wrong.

I dont see a problem with it, my wife had a very simular problem a few years back with her broadhead set-up, and I did the same thing went with a lighter BH and everythin improved....
Just remember one thing, if its flying how you want it and your Broadheads are RAZOR sharp and your aim is true, you'll have a great season ..
